Pangilinan, Ateneo, and Borrowed Grad Speeches
Was shocked to learn (via Twitter) that Manuel V. Pangilinan quit last Saturday as chairman of the board of the Ateneo de Manila University, after finding out that sections of the graduation speech which he delivered last March 26 and 27 were quite similar to speeches delivered by Oprah Winfrey and J.K. Rowling.

There seems to be a cell phone scam going around, where someone tries to get you to shutdown or switch off your cell phone. If you switch off your cellphone, your relatives will then receive messages that you have been kidnapped.
When your relatives try to contact you, they won’t be able to (because your phone is off).
