If you’re wondering what all the fuss is about real estate CPE seminars, here’s the background info.
In the past, the DTI handled the licensing of real estate brokers in the Philippines. Now that the PRC is handling it (thanks to the RESA Law RA 9646), brokers now have the opportunity to be registered with the PRC without having to take the examination once again.
But they have only until July 2011. Otherwise, these brokers will need to take another real estate brokers’ exam if they want to be licensed by the PRC.
And that’s why real estate brokers who already got their license from the DTI in the past, but failed to renew their licenses in July 2009, now have to earn 24 CPE/CEP credit units before the July 30, 2011 deadline.
