It was good to see Robbie again after 5 years, and to bond and crack jokes with cousins while feasting on lechon (recipe from Negros), lumpia (with pepper), dinuguan, japche noodles, softwrap lumpia (what’s the real name of this?), and loads of dessert.
After learning more from Robbie about the life of a Filipino who immigrated to Canada, plus insights on the subprime/mortgage issue in the US that has a lot of people talking (read: $700 billion bailout) and how a somewhat similar situation happened in the Philippines in the 1980s, we were treated to a hilarious video of some cousins’ heads dancing to the beat of popular songs.
Yes, we’re talking about Dance Heads, where your head is superimposed on the body of professional dancers dancing to lively beats. We’re not talking about pasting a photo of your head. We’re talking about posting a VIDEO of your head.
In other words, you can move and sway your head, look to the left or right, roll your eyes, and do all kinds of crazy stuff that will hopefully sync with your virtual dancer’s body. The more you get into it, the louder the audience will laugh.
