I was looking for a pathophysiology diagram for Addison’s Disease, and ended up looking at another diagram which contains s/sx…
Perhaps “s/sx” is the acronym for “signs and symptoms.”
Anyway, those taking up nursing and who are struggling with how to make a pathophysiology diagram, you can get ideas at Pathophysiology of ALL (diagram).
Some terms we need to learn:
Etiology – the cause of a disease
Pathophysiology – “the study of the changes of normal mechanical, physical, and biochemical functions, either caused by a disease, or resulting from an abnormal syndrome.”
Tip for Nursing Students: Please stop muttering: “Ang hirap…” (“It’s difficult…”) over and over, lest it become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Focus instead on finding out what your Instructor wants.
If it’s a diagram she wants, then please do not submit a text narrative. Otherwise it’s just a waste of internet time, paper, and laser printer toner.
