As expected, the predicted rapture hour (6:00pm, local time, 21 May 2011) has come and passed, and we have received no reports of anyone being raptured in the Philippines (or even in New Zealand).
Very few people were worried, although a few would give nervous smiles as they say: “Wala yan…” (That won’t push through.)
I wonder what Noah felt when he was warning people about the Great Flood. How many people believed him back then?
Anyway, some folks might be enjoying their Rapture Party, while others are busy scraping off their Rapture bumper stickers.
In the meantime, we’ll try to look for that short, short science fiction story about a guy who predicted the end of the world, but was wrong about his calculations… by a few hours.
Does anyone know the title of that short, short story?
