Saw this strange item charged to a SMART cellphone bill: iChannel Daily Subscription. What is this?
The charge was P199.98 for 11 (no details given). That’s P18.18 per hit/incident, and if we add the 12% VAT that comes out to about P20.36
I spoke with the SMART Customer Care and they asked me if I subscribed to news such as GMANews.
Yes, I did, via the GMANews android app (via the Google Play Store).
But why only 11 hits? Shouldn’t it be 30 hits?
Anyway, SMART Customer Care also advised me to text CHECK to 4224.
For some reason, the message does not want to get sent out.
Anyway, I’m waiting for the Billing Group to contact me regarding my request to reverse those iChannel Daily Subscription charges, because I did not subscribe anyway.
Try searching for that iChannel feature online. Parang wala naman, right? Well, except for that Twitter status which shows that someone was also asking why he was charged for it.
