I was pleasantly surprised. It isn’t everyday you bump into someone who likes to write. And blog. And follow communities such as WordPress Pinoys.
It’s fascinating how you can get to know a person you used to often exchange “Hi’s” with a little bit better thanks to Facebook. It’s strange how you get to know someone more, after you no longer see her.
Such is the power of the internet, I guess.
Virtual Smart Agent In Action
Virtual Smart Agent is a script that makes use of artificial intelligence to simulate what a salesperson will do if a customer walks out of a store without buying anything.
Only this time, we’re talking about people leaving a web page without buying anything. What if you can do something about it?
Well, someone did…
Essential Twitter Tools
Jeremiah Owyang lists his Essential Twitter Tools. Looks like Twitter is becoming more popular, what with the numerous “so-and-so is following” notifications these past few days.
I dunno… it feels as if there’s a surge in people using Twitter.
No Follow, No Fun?
I was reading Macuha.com’s Getting One Way Links the Evil Way, when I stumbled upon the comment by Yugatech. Here’s a quick excerpt:
I missed the days when SEO was an unknow term in the blogosphere and everyone was linking out like crazy. Then Google invented nofollow and people abide by its rule as if it were the government. Itβs no fun anymore.
I wonder why it’s not fun anymore… Back in the those days, people were not conscious about SEO. They just linked to web pages they found interesting, simply because they wanted to let their site visitors know about those other sites.
There were no SEO tactics or plans or any “Aha… I would like to send Google PR juice to that site.”
It was simply: “I want others to know about that site.”
So when we fast-forward to today, some bloggers will link to you using a no-follow tag. In other words, you don’t earn any Google search engine points. But you still gain traffic, right? You still get exposure, don’t you?
So… why isn’t it fun anymore?
For me, it’s still loads of fun! And if blog owners decide to use no-follow, well… it’s their blog. π
And if you want a do-follow link to your blog, well… you can do something about it. π

Webhosting Does Not Last
I wonder if you can still count the number of times you’ve switched from one web host to another. I’ve tried. And hoped. And even thought I had found THE host to stay with.
Yet sadly, even those which were reliable for the past two years are recently experiencing frequent downtimes.
For some reason, they choose not to communicate with their clients about this.
Oh well. Perhaps it’s time to move to another host.
